A note to our future family

“This is where our life together gets a front door.”

We made this place to remember the ordinary parts: the first box through the door, who stayed too late at dinner, what grew in the garden, and how every room changed as we did.

Poospatauk is not a finished story. It is a shared one, written by us and the people we love, one season at a time.

Two routes, one front door

The home team

01

Teacher / coach / founder

Maggie Tracy

A four-year Division I swimmer at Delaware, special education and physical education teacher, and competitive swim coach. Maggie built Beachtree Botanics in the hours around all three: patient work, done properly.

02

Notre Dame / builder

Steven Murphy

A four-year monogram winner and All-American lacrosse player at Notre Dame. Steven builds in global capital markets, but this is the work measured in seasons, dinners, and the family he and Maggie are making together.

The house book

Our life here,
kept properly.

The big days matter. So do sandy shoes by the door, the first tomato, a friend's handwriting, and the song that was always playing that summer.

The long view

Chapter one

01

Before the keys

A swimmer from Delaware and a lacrosse player from Notre Dame found their way onto the same team.

02

Our first home

Poospatauk Point became the name on the papers, and 105 Meeting House Lane became the place we get to fill with life.

03

Everything after

Beach mornings, crowded tables, garden experiments, old friends, new traditions, and stories for the children we hope will read this one day.

Beachtree
Botanics

Maggie began making small-batch skincare in her New York kitchen while teaching and coaching competitive swimmers. What started as a practical answer to dry, sensitive skin became her own company: simple, vitamin-rich formulas made without fragrance or essential oils.

for the house.

A memory, a wish, a recipe, a bit of advice, or the story you always tell. We'll keep it in the Poospatauk archive.
